Why create an account:

Shipping Policy:

KnifeJoy offers free shipping on items over $40 sent USPS, and items over $100 sent UPS (as is available). Please contact customer service if you prefer a specific carrier. Upgraded Shipping options are provided at the time of checkout.

USPS is experiencing delays in shipments and tracking information. Lack of tracking information does not always indicate the item is not on its way. In some cases, the first tracking may be when the item is out for delivery in your location. Please contact customer service if your package has not arrived within 14 days.

Your shipping confirmation email will contain a tracking number. You can also track the status of your order using our Order Tracking page. Enter your order number and email address.

Carrier Management:

If you need to make changes to your shipment once it shipped from KnifeJoy, please contact the carrier directly. They can assist you in things such as special delivery instructions or pre-signing. You will need the tracking number which is included in your shipping confirmation email or order history section in your account.

Return Policy:

KnifeJoy accepts returns within 30 days of purchase date. Returns must be approved by KnifeJoy before you ship back the item. To start the Return Process, complete the Returns Form using the link below. KnifeJoy will review your return request within 3 business days. Once approved you will be emailed a return shipping label.

Upon receipt of the return, KnifeJoy will evaluate to ensure the item is in new condition and unused, including the original packaging and materials. We will not accept returns with shipping labels attached directly to product packaging.

If the return is accepted, KnifeJoy will refund the amount of the purchase price minus the cost of the return shipping label. If the item is found to be defective, return shipping costs may be waived. We do not reimburse the cost of shipping the original order. Once KnifeJoy issues a refund, it may take several days for your financial institution to issue repayment. Please contact your financial institution for more information.

KnifeJoy reserves the right to refuse a return or charge a restocking fee in the event the returned item is not in new condition, (including the product packaging and materials), or from customers with a history of frequent returns. In the event your return is determined to be ineligible for a refund, you will be notified by email with a return tracking number for your convenience.

Tax

KnifeJoy always charges sales tax for orders shipping to Arkansas and Tennessee. Other areas may be included as necessary based on respective State Tax Regulations.

Auto Knife Sales

Automatic Knife Laws & Assisted Knife Laws. The Switchblade Act, (Pub.L. 85-623, 72 Stat. 562, enacted on August 12, 1958, and codified in 15 U.S.C. § 1241–1245), as may be amended, (the “Act”) prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following exceptions:

(a) to civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government;

(b) to supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National guard, or militia of a state, territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in the connection with the activities of such organization;

(c) to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or other political subdivision of a State or Territory;

(d) to manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any shipment made pursuant of an order from any person designated in paragraphs (a), (b), and (c).

Sections 1242 and 1243 of the Act shall not apply to:

(e) any common carrier or contract carrier, with respect to any switchblade knife shipped, transported, or delivered for shipment in interstate commerce in the ordinary course of business;

(f) the manufacture, sale, transportation, distribution, possession, or introduction into interstate commerce, of switchblade knives pursuant to contract with the Armed Forces.

(g) the Armed Forces or any member or employee thereof acting in the performance of his duty;

(h) the possession, and transportation upon his person, of any switchblade knife with a blade three inches or less in length by any individual who has only one arm; or

(i) a knife that contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand wrist, or arm to overcome the bias toward closure to assist in opening the knife.

KnifeJoy will not sell to any individual or group outside the State of Utah without the above conditions being met. This does not apply to automatic knives manufactured, distributed, purchased or sold within the State of Utah. Proper identification may be required before the order is shipped in cases where restricted items are purchased. By purchasing an automatic knife from KnifeJoy, you agree that you meet this criteria.
