The Microtech 12314-10APOD UTX-85 Gen IV brings the compact proportions of the UTX-85 together with Microtech's current-generation double-action OTF system. This configuration pairs a single-edge M390 blade with an Apocalyptic finish and an OD Green aluminum handle for a subdued, utilitarian appearance.

Designed at approximately 85 percent of the size of the full-size Ultratech platform, the UTX-85 offers the same straightforward out-the-front operation in a more compact format. The side-mounted thumb slide deploys and retracts the blade through Microtech's double-action mechanism, allowing fast one-handed operation without requiring a separate release.

The single-edge blade provides a versatile working profile with a strong point and useful belly, while the Apocalyptic finish gives the steel a deliberately worn, low-reflective appearance that also helps disguise marks from regular use. The OD Green 6061-T6 aluminum handle keeps the knife lightweight while providing the rigid construction expected from the UTX-85 platform.
