The Chaves Redencion 229 Kickstop Crusader combines the substantial construction of the full-size 229 platform with an elaborate Crusader-themed finish package. This configuration pairs a 3.5-inch black-PVD Bohler M390 chisel-ground tanto blade with black-PVD titanium handles featuring ornate Crusader laser engraving and contrasting bronze-anodized titanium hardware.

The M390 tanto blade uses a chisel-ground profile that gives the knife a strong, angular point and a long, direct cutting edge. The black PVD coating keeps the blade visually subdued while adding surface protection, and the aggressive tanto geometry reinforces the hard-use character of the 229 platform.

The handle is built from titanium and finished in black PVD, with detailed Crusader engraving extending across the show side around the central cross motif. Bronze-anodized titanium hardware provides a warm contrast against the dark handle and blade, giving the knife a distinctive custom-style appearance without changing the core proportions of the Redencion 229.

Deployment is handled by Lee Williams' Kickstop mechanism, which hides the flipper tab inside the handle after the blade opens. The result preserves the fast manual action of a flipper while leaving the knife with a cleaner profile in the open position. A titanium frame lock secures the blade during use and completes the straightforward, overbuilt construction associated with the 229 series.
