The Microtech 12314-2TPBKPGCS UTX-85 Gen IV is a Signature Series version of Microtech's compact double-action OTF, finished in a distinctive Topographic Black and Parakeet Green camouflage treatment. Sized at approximately 85 percent of the Ultratech platform, the UTX-85 retains the practical proportions and automatic operation of its larger counterpart in a more compact package.

This configuration uses a tanto blade with a partially serrated cutting edge, providing a combination of plain-edge versatility and aggressive serrations for fibrous materials. The Gen IV firing system delivers double-action out-the-front deployment and retraction through the side-mounted actuator, while the aluminum handle keeps the knife lightweight and easy to carry.

The Signature Series treatment is the defining feature of this model.
