The Spyderco C81PYL2 Para Military 2 Lightweight Salt combines the familiar ergonomics and Compression Lock operation of the Para Military 2 with a substantially lighter FRN handle and the corrosion-resistant construction of Spyderco's Salt Series. This version pairs a satin-finished CPM MagnaCut blade with high-visibility yellow FRN scales, creating a lightweight PM2 built for environments where moisture and corrosion resistance matter.

CPM MagnaCut brings an unusually well-balanced combination of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance to the Para Military 2 platform. The full-flat-ground blade retains the efficient slicing geometry associated with the PM2, while Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole allows quick, ambidextrous manual opening. The Compression Lock keeps the familiar operating characteristics of the standard Para Military 2 while allowing the handle construction to be significantly streamlined.

The Lightweight handle replaces the G10 scales and substantial nested liners of the traditional PM2 with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon and a simplified internal structure.
